Alan: What is your biggest goals at powerlifting or benchpress? Dan:... 330 benchpress at training, want to break it on the platform. 1032.5 kg total, but it is 3 years since returning back. Now i am starting with squats and deadlifts after one and half year break, was too lazy for powerlifting. And too much work of course. Alan:Where are you training? Dan:... At our Temple Gym, hard-core gym at Prague.
Alan: What is your training split? Dan:... Monday light benchpress, Tuesday heavy squat, Thursday heavy benchpress, Friday heavy deadlift.
Alan: What is your favourites nutrition supplements and is it important for you? Dan:... For six years its been the same, ATP Nutrition – traditional czech company. I have been working with this company for three years as a nutrition and antistress expert. I am using BCAA (20 g), beef amino (20 g), maltodextrin, vitamins (C, B1, B6, B12), minerals (3 grams Ca, 2 grams Mg, 40 mg Zn) and most efective suplement for anticatabolism and good sleeping L-tryprofan (2 grams). When i want to have good regeneration, must to use it. Alan: What about food? Dan:... I am eating not so much, thats my problém. Must to work on it. Must to gain 7 kilos for Folkestone meet. I am eating by my blood type, i am blood type zero as a most sportsmen, that means rice, beef, fish, fruits. No chicken, potatoes.
Alan:Have you regular training partners? Dan:... Yes, we have perfect groupe of Metalpower powerlifters. Cant be better. They will come to Folkestone too.
Alan: Why you choose the Folkestone WPC event? Dan:... We were at Folkestone this year and we feel there very good. All my team Metalpower wants to come back when you informed us about British Open, we know then we will be back for sure. And want to support cooperation between lifters at Europe. Perfect atmosphere, good people, perfect equipment and nice place. I like British islands, castles, cathedrals, culture and Carling beer. British Open will be my fifth visit of England. Alan: Is music important for you at attempts and if so which? Dan: Yes, i like rock music for my attempts. Metallica, AC/DC or Sepultura. Cant lift with reagge.
Alan: What is your goal for Folkestone? Dan:... Come back to Prague without injury. Dont now what i can to squat or deadlift. When will be 400 squat and over 300 deadlift will be good, too long break from powerlifting and too hot summer for work outs. But i am fresh after Corsica vacation now.
Alan:: How long have you trained at powerlifting, what is your bodyweight category? Dan:... I am starting with powerlifting at 2005 at 100kg bwt category at IPF. Now i am starting at 125/140 category.
